we got referred from organisation, it states post pay, and free consultation. we ring him, explain, set a date of meeting, he never mentions of any fee..my partner takes a day off, loses income.. meeting day, last minute "literally" he asks for 700 ph plus GST.... that is double of the usual lawyer fees, plus it's a settlement job, if you want the job, one should work to get it.

Because we didn’t understand Australia’s home purchase policy, we bought a house here in our son’s name (he was naturalized at that time) before we got PR in 2016. We transferred the full purchase price from China. This year, due to objective reasons, the house needs to be transferred to our name, which involves the issue of stamp duty. Because the purchase of this house was indeed fully funded by us, we remembered that we made a trust at Lawyer Lin’s law firm in 2017. After that, we met with Lawyer Lin. He was kind and cordial. After carefully listening to our statement, he carefully reviewed some of the evidence we provided. He gave us a detailed analysis of the possibility of stamp duty reduction and exemption according to Australian law, and arranged for his experienced son, who is also a lawyer, to be responsible for this matter. Worst lawyer firm. Stay away from them. They will charge you every email they write and read even emails that takes only 5 second to read. Luckily i terminated their service earlier and found a better lawyer. Stay Away from this lawyer firm! They will only charge!charge!charge.

Francis lim charged me $3000 to read emails and $2500 to write a letter which was mostly copy and pasted from a draft I sent him. He should have his legal license revoked.
