Atrocious law firm. I had a wonderful lawyer in Rahila to begin with. With what was with out a doubt the most trying time in my life I was very very lucky to have Rahila represent me. Unfortunately she left along with many others obviously because of the firm. I was then placed with Cate King. After many people had left I was informed from Cate that she had upward of 60 clients as did most other lawyers at Loukas law. This results in very poor communication and representation taking 3 to 4 days to respond to emails and in my case some things happened that requested urgent attention forcing my bill higher and higher as I would need to call to get legal advice urgently. The representation went down and the bills went up. I always paid my bill on time and in full untill I actually decided to go over one of my bills that was very high and for only 2 weeks. I realised they had been overcharging me when I called them out on this and had a meeting with a partner Becca Ivanov I explained my representation had gone down and I was being charged alot more. I also mentioned this was not the case when Rahila was representing me. She more or less dismissed it and told me to put it in an email to Cate and they would assess it. I had written them a very strongly worded email but polite outlining my frustration and discussed in the fact that I went to this firm for legal help and this is how i am now being treated. Im aware they have many other clients and i am not top priority and that is fine, but if you are so busy higher more lawyers spread the load to give people what they deserve and are paying for and not pit your lawyers umder so mich stress and pressure. How can one person bounce from one vase to another up to 60 cases you can't and it showed as things had been overlooked or missed. Everything in my case was nearly finalised and I'm assuming because there was not much more money to be made from me they decided to terminate our contract leaving me without representation and no clue what to do next. Es tjey sent me some information about what i needed to do bit I'm not a lawyer and I do not understand it. Causing me alot of stress and anxiety in my life ontop of all the other hell I am still dealing with. Yes they reimbursed me wjat they overcharged me but then also told me they are terminating our contract because there is clearly no trust between us for them to be able to represent me. Are you kidding, you are the ones who broke the trust by overcharging me. Narcissistic much . My point is they send you a bill with an amount that really you have no idea if it is true or not, you must just trust them. (DONT) go over every bill and make sure because it is all about making money from you the poor unfortunate people who are forced to go through lawyers because people in the world can't act like adults and sort problems out amicably. I will be reporting them but I'm sure nothing will come of it after all it's a law firm you can't argue with them they are lawyers and so it will continue.

Family law and the journey through the court system is confronting, complex and very emotional. My experience with Loukas Law from the time I first walked into their office till the moment we walked out of court, has been exceptional and not what I thought dealing with a family law practitioner would be like at all. They care for you and understand what you are going through. It is a totally different experience to dealing with one of the big, “Bill every 6-minute interval” law firms. Initially I went down this path with a big firm but quickly realized their motivation was not aligned with my desires and their advice was hard to take on board.

Loukas Law were very different, totally professional but understand the system and the emotion that is present when dealing with family law issues. Again, it’s the strategy and advice that is important but having the correct knowledge and empathy to implement takes it to the correct level. Loukas law has both in bulk and I highly recommend consulting them if you have a family law issue and need clear and precise advice and counsel.
