For double the fees another lawyer has charged me I received 0 legal advice!!!! Just interpretation of document I supplied. I didn't ask for this…. I asked for advice how to proceed in court. Very disappointed…

Construction payment/quality disputes. Do not recommend. There is no feasibility assessment to see if your case is worth your time, stress and money. There is no advice to pursue other available options to mitigate costs. Their legal fees exceeded the reason we engaged them on two cases without any acknowledgement or check point to reassess options or strategy. Here are some things that I have learnt;

• Depending on the value of the job – write it off as a bad debt. Its not worth pursuing.

• If it’s a commercial project – follow the securities of payment act exactly. There is lots of information and free advice online. You don’t need a lawyer for this. If the job is completed in the last 6 months you can start the process again and reissue the invoice. There are strict time guidelines you need to follow.

• If it’s a new build/for a builder/renovation and the owners want to sell soon – put a caveat/lien on the property.

• If its about unsatisfactory work get a builders report. Although not exactly cheap. Still cheaper than a lawyer. And if it is absolutely necessary to engage a lawyer after this (not these ones) then you’ve already done the work without the time wasted and legal fees to get to this point.

This is of course only in my experience. I am not a lawyer. Hope this saves someone money.

Edit: No thank you, I do not want to discuss this further. You have already over charged me and the cases are closed. I did bring up my concern during but you do not actually offer legal advice you just continuously ask "what would you like to do" and then charge us for it and then hide behind "we can only be guided by what you want" which is actually despicable because you are only engaged when people need you to advise them. Regarding their legal options. And the remedies available to them. Legally.

Special big thanks to Erica Lu. It has been a journey for our house purchasing with a lot of drama. Home loan approved just 2 days before the settlement day, however we made it just on time! Taken over a year to deal with family will. Achieving probate has taken beyond a year and in the past month they're asking stupid questions like "is there another will?" something which should have been asked on day one, not a year into the process. Meyer didn't keep relevant documents when creating the will years ago and now are having issues finishing the process as a result.

Absolutely pathetic, extremely unfortunate that my family decided to deal with Meyer to begin with.

I have used Lynch Meyer Conveyancing service multiple times. I have been dealing with Erica Lu to purchase & selling property. Erica Lu is very professional & patience during the entire process.

In relation to Strata 1514, appointed by Horner Strata Management and the debt recovery of a particular unit. It would appear you were acting for the debtor and not the owners corporation. I am encouraging the other unit holder to make a formal complaint to the legal professional conduct commissioner. This probably will not happen but this is the next best thing a poor google review.

You allowed a long term and serial debtor to refinance rather than follow the instructions to sell the unit. That was money for jam sit on your backsides and do nothing. The instructions to Horner management were crystal clear no deals but you took the easy option of allowing her to sell her own property rather than enforcing a order from the court. This allowed her more time and in the written advice back from you to Horner Management, I was of the belief the debtor had lawyered up using your services. In turn your inaction and internal processes you allowed her to refinance when we thought the unit would be sold. If you were too busy or had better paying legal matters you should have told us or Horner Management and we would have found another gun solicitor or private bailiff to do the job you couldn't do. I don't have an issue being busy I have an issue with not following instructions.

Now its going to take years of non payment and we will be back in the same predicament all over again with a serial debtor. I knew we should have used a private bailiff but Horner Management recommended you and what a waste of money and time. A real let down and a kick in the guts.

To say we feel like we have been kicked in the guts and defeated is an understatement. How did you let this happen?

They damaged my benefits and hiden very important informations with the other side party to me. They charged me so expensive legal cost and did nothing.
