I had to edit my original review because I got an email from this firm threatening legal action if I don't delete my original review. I don't want any distractions or drama in my life now so I complied. Anyway I'm thoroughly dissatisfied and disappointed with their service.

Nat & Alyson, I truly appreciate your calls and the way you've listened to me during my toughest days over the past year. You are valuable members of the team, and your genuine care and compassion shine through, especially when people are facing their hardest battles. While some separations can be incredibly challenging and can break even the strongest individuals in unexpected ways, you two help make those moments a bit more bearable and inspire people to believe in themselves when everything seems to be against them. I experienced my lowest point ever as my world crumbled, but I tried to remain humble and true to my values despite the nasty games played by others, always striving to do what was right as a mother. From the depths of my heart, I thank you both for your kindness, understanding, and unwavering support when I felt so isolated. I'm truly thankful to you Nat, Alyson, and Soren for all your support.

Resolve was once a respectable firm whom I was referred to by friends— on returning for legal representation after being self representing, it now seems like a case study in how not to practice client-focused law. I cant even express how disappointed I was with my recent interaction. Following an appointment with Deborah — who was unfortunately foisted on me rather than the lawyer I had previously briefed and had built rapport with— I can confidently say that if zero stars were an option, they would be well deserved. Deborah demonstrated no interpersonal sensitivity, no empathy, and no genuine interest in my specific legal concerns. I had no confidence she could achieve any outcomes for me after she suggested borrowing against my home loan as a way of obtaining litigation funding although I had an active application in the courts for this. This showed a lack of care for my financial resources and a careless attitude to place me in debt. In addition, I was forced to defend my entirely reasonable decision to change lawyers throughout a matter that has spanned over two years — an unfortunate reality many people in the family law space will understand all too well. This is an indictment of the system not the individual. Despite clear questions about the merits of mediation, adjournment, or attending the hearing, I received little more than generic commentary and a patronizing explanation of the “four-step process” — something anyone even moderately informed on family law has heard ad nauseam. Afterward, when I pointed out I had not recieved any advice but had paid to be "scoped" out for cash resources, Resolve refused to refund my money. This is a poor attitude in any business when clients are unhappy with service and further call to avoid this firm altogether. The session offered nothing of value beyond what could be sourced in an online search. More concerning was her disturbing demand for detailed financial information about specific loans and banks which seemed unrelated to the advice I was requesting and which she was quite insistent on getting from me — without having provided any substantive advice in return. Lawyer or not I had literally known this person for 10 minutes. When I naturally declined, I was told she “couldn’t work with someone she didn’t trust.” apart from being manipulative, the irony of that comment was stark. Let me be clear: this did not feel like legal guidance. It felt like a scoping session which I was paying so she could assess financial extractability and possibly get information she could provide to the other party as I was aware the was a conflict of interests which they did not disclose. Just to top this off, there was no trauma-informed approach, no recognition of financial abuse, and no attempt to understand the complexity of my situation. Just a veiled pitch for a $40,000 retainer — paired with an attitude that suggested the client’s lived experience was a problem to be managed, not understood. They just do not past the test and these lawyers must change their approach. Anyone who has navigated the family law system knows how difficult it is to find a lawyer who is supportive, effective, and genuinely has your back. Deborah is not that lawyer. She’s the type you read about in online forums and chat groups — the ones who seem to be working for the other party.Legal firms must realise that growing numbers of clients are self-representing because they are not getting basic respect and actionable advice while paying exorbitant amounts. Whatever has been taught to lawyers like this about interacting with and retaining clients needs to be seriously reviewed. Why would anyone want to provide these lawyers with $40,000 after being treated like this? If you are seeking meaningful, personable legal support and not another layer of judgment, manipulation, or expensive superficial advice: look elsewhere or just do it yourself. The main message here? Avoid at all costs.

I can’t thank the team at Resolve Conflict Lawyers enough for the incredible support they’ve provided throughout what has been one of the most difficult and emotionally exhausting periods of my life. My experience with Resolve Conflict Family Lawyers was excellent. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Justin Lee was able to understand and decipher my rambling and come up with my exact thoughts and fears on paper. Caring and compassionate people who listen but will also tell you how it is. They didn't see dollars but instaed see the person and put my Children first and for that I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.

Disappointing.

I had an initial phone consult with Resolve Conflict. My understanding at the end of the call was that they would email me some information regarding mediators and what the next steps would be. I never received any further correspondence after the phone call and they did not seem interested taking me on as a client, so I went elsewhere with far better results. I’ve had several calls and emails from my new lawyers and they’ve still charged me far less so far than Resolve did for one call.

Also, I don’t think it’s a good idea to tell victims of domestic violence that ‘even though you’re a man, it’s still wrong for a women to hit you’. It just comes across as condescending and explaining the obvious.

From what I have seen of this firm they overcharge and invent charges to pad their bill. I would consider them as being incompetent to handle a divorce case. The lawyer in question is Alyson, maybe the others are better.

After receiving a section 60i certificate i called a few family lawyers where my calls went unanswered messages never returned, when i did actually get to speak to somebody they seemed to not care for a single father trying to spend time with his daughter, but then i came across Resolve Conflict. I spoke with Laura and Ben who are both understanding, caring, non judgemental and smart, they have both handled my matter from the beginning to the end and i couldnt be happier. They are honest with you about cost and only bill you for work they have done in manageable amounts so you dont get an overwhelming bill. Laura and Ben are professional and for me more importantly they actually care about your situation, i had tried unsuccessfully to see my daughter for some time before getting Laura and Ben's help, i wasted precious time that i cant get back and i regret not doing it sooner. My ex was difficult to deal with to say the least but Laura and Ben really got things moving in the right direction and kept my matter out of the courts saving me tens of thousands of dollars but more importantly time. When asked by mediators/registers what i ultimately wanted i would say "in a perfect world id like 50/50" knowing how unlikely it was.
