“I had the opportunity to work with Salerno Law as a pest inspector and also used their family law services. From the initial consultation to the final resolution, they were extremely polite, helpful, and very effective. They worked hard to defend me and were always thorough in explaining every step of the process. Their professionalism and dedication made me feel supported and confident throughout. I’m grateful for their hard work and highly recommend their family law services to anyone in need.”
A huge thank you to Naomi and the wider team at Salerno Law for their professionalism and dedication. Their expertise and great service are truly commendable. Highly recommend their team!
What truly set Salerno Law apart was their ability to handle our complex legal matter effectively, with consistent consideration of the personal impact it had on our lives.
Cliff and his team listened intently to our concerns and transformed a stressful process into one guided by empathy and understanding. Our unique circumstances were carefully considered in constructing their approach which was clearly communicated to us at all times.
From the moment we reached out to Salerno Law it was evident that they have redefined what it means to be client-focused in the legal world. We are truly thankful for the whole teams support during what was a challenging time.
Salerno Law provides reliable and professional legal services, with a team committed to delivering effective solutions for their clients.
Salerno Law were extremly helpful during the selling and buying of property, Easy to work with and attentive to every detail.
Asked my dead mother to call them for property settlement of her deceased estate.
I think that says it all really.
A week before property settlement, they emailed asking [insert my mum’s name here] to phone and confirm account details for the ‘account of the late [insert my mother’s name here]’. We wrote back pointing out that she was deceased. Their response was “thank you for the update”. (We still have the email if we get challenged here on this one as they seem to make lots of excuses). I probably should note here that every phone call and email to them, right from initial contact, stated that the matter was about a deceased estate settlement.
The day of settlement, they rang me (not the executor) to confirm details and the receptionist asked if they were actually handling the estate as they didn’t have a record of it. When I pointed out that they had rung asking for my dead mother to call, she put me on hold again and then I was put through to the person handling the account at that time (I can’t quite remember - traumatised - but I think her name was Alison). She said “yes, sorry about that” when I raised the ‘dead mum to call’ issue. Later when I said that I found them to be incompetent in a sensitive matter, she said “I already apologised for that”. Mmhmm. Helpful. She spoke to me like I was an idiot. She also said that as Lynn was on holidays, she was unaware of the circumstances. I would hope that a deceased estate file (with a bank account title stating the same) would be marked or noted somewhere that it was a deceased estate. I have concerns over their record keeping and communication skills in this regard.
There were numerous other things. Each time we rang we were put through to someone else. After holding the title for two weeks into a 30 day settlement contract, they advised us the bank held title and the mortgage needed to discharged. My mum had paid it out 15 years earlier so we had trouble understanding this. It turned out that we needed the titles office to reissue the title (another $250) which would take approximately 3 weeks. So that put us outside our contract date. Luckily for us, the titles office were understanding (as well as a little confused that the solicitors had taken two weeks to notify us of this).
It was just a badly handled, insensitive schemozzle. We have used these solicitors for conveyancing for over ten years. I don’t know what has changed. I’ve waited almost six months to leave this review so that it isn’t an emotional one.
I do not recommend them and I will not be using them again in the future, funnily enough.
RESPONSE: really? And you don’t have a Lynn or an Alison in your conveyancing section? Ok, here’s where you asked in writing then. This is not a confidential email but I have covered the estate street address for privacy reasons.
Oh, and try again, we’ve bought and sold through you before, under my name which is here, which I had stated above.
Maybe you’d like to review your response and correct it.
RESPONSE AGAIN! (Sheesh) The attached photo is your letterhead, your conveyancing solicitors names. There’s not much use in editing your response to now mention an “estates team” when your email below is clearly from your conveyancing team. People can see the letterhead and your email, they can make up their own minds in regard to your very solicitor-like response.
Again - yet more proof of the way this firm operates. Don’t use them. Buyer beware.
Every interaction was clear as our interests were protected.
It was a pleasure to work with Lyn and the Salerno Law team. Lyn was exceptionally helpful at a time when I needed it the most and relied on the expertise that she has. I would happily recommend Salerno Law to Family & Friends.
Stay away from these lawyers. They promised to do a lot but ended up doing basic conveyancing. They quoted $4k and ended up trying to charge almost $12k. Finally we settled on a price over $7k. Only after that did they mention that they did not read the contracts and "did not realise that I wanted them to read the contracts" I ended up in a very very bad situation with a terrible landlord amd cost $200k. Still debating if i should take them to Court(statute of limitations) OR to post every werk for 2years to my 200,000 followers and groups. Why not ? To warn the entire Gold Coast and beyond what these dodgy shonks are doing. And maybe a Law Society complaint also. And a couple of talkback radio shows every few months. Its starting to make me want to repay them for their contempt they showed. Stay well away if you want to get proper legal advice. THE RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER - LIE LIE AND DENY. Attached is a screenshot of an email from one of the Lawyers there.
Steve Hodgson listens intently and is a great communicator. I found myself leaving my appointments feeling heard and with clarity as to the direction I should be taking in my matter. You truly can't go wrong seeking Steve's professional advice and assistance in your matter.
Absolutely fantastic and I can recommend Salerno law enough. My cases have been extremely frustrating but after such a wonderful effort from Chloe and Aspen today we again had a great result. They worked closely with me and guided me to today’s wonderful result. Thank you so much.
My husband and I used Salerno Law to purchase our first home, and we had an excellent experience. Our solicitor, Allison McKee was amazing! Allison is very efficient and thorough and made the process of buying our first home so much easier! Highly recommend Allison!
I had two very difficult settlements one after the other in a short period of time. Lyn dealt with all changing situations swiftly and kept me in the loop of all communications timely. I strongly recommend Lyn for her conveying services for the length that she went through helping me out of those stressful situations. She is reliable and shows unwavering dedication to my cases.
Absolute scam lawyers. They will steal your money, not do the work and then charge you thousands when you complain. They will throw you under the bus. Worst lawyers possible!
Incredible friendly and knowledgeable. A pleasant and convenient location with a great outcome
Professional, prompt and very helpful. Highly Recommended!

A close friend of mine referred me and my partner to Salerno when buying our first home. Our experience was on the whole very positive - they were always organised and very professional. No hitches during the process and very affordable! Overall would recommend!

Naomi was super helpful - professional and polite. Even though it was obvious I was not going to become a client, she went out of her way to help me.
Great legal representation in a property purchase. Very professional, time and cost efficient! Would recommend this law firm anytime!
I engaged Salerno Law in a Family Law matter. Pro The team was friendly, compassionate, prepared well for mediation, and a lot more proactive than the previous solicitor I had engaged. Cons The lack of attention to detail was the biggest disappointment.
On one hand I did feel supported and was shown compassion for the horrid experience that is divorce by the team.
On the other hand, I expected to feel high levels of confidence in my solicitor's care and due diligence. Due to whatever extenuating circumstances, I didn’t have that experience.
My boyfriend and I recently used Salerno Law when purchasing our first home. Before committing to their conveyancing services, we chatted to the Corporate Manager who reassured us that we would be stepped through the process, having never gone through it before. Sally the Senior Conveyancer we received was extremely unhelpful and we feel we did not receive the professionalism or level of service that we paid for or were promised. When we received our new property searches back, we asked Sally, after going over the documents, if there was anything of concern we should be aware of. The response we received from this was “These are for your reference and perusal and if any concerns let me know”. After the property settlement and transfer into our name, we found out that there was an outstanding paint issue with the property which needed to be rectified. We reached back out to Sally to clarify where this issue was raised in the Body Corp searches completed, but did not receive an informative response to this. We are disappointed with the service we received from Salerno Law.
