Whilst initially off to a slow start, Rodney took over the management of our mum's estate. He provided regular, clear communication and demonstrated expeditious follow-up with a range of different stakeholders and excellent attention to detail. Thank you Rodney and your support team.

Life obviously is simpler when one does not need to consult a Lawyer. I had a sticky Mortgagee in Possession situation to resolve and was guided through the whole process until a resolution was reached. Shaun Briffa from Argon Law was handling the process with competence, good guidance and keeping his finger on the pulse.

Avoid this law firm at all cost. I would rate them with 0 stars if I could. We hired Argon Law to handle our Mother’s estate after reading other reviews for many firms. What we got instead was an horrid experience, and a lot of problems that caused further stress to our lives after already losing our Mother. We should have walked away after the first experience where we were scheduled to meet with Michelle. She left us waiting in the office for 20 minutes before walking in and not apologising for being late. We only needed help with two initiatives - withdrawal of super and transfer of property into the PR names. We asked Michelle to contact the Council and Water to get them put on hold until we sold. A few weeks went by without any correspondence from their office, so I contacted them to find out what was happening. I was then sent a list of ID documents apparently needed by the Superfund. This kept dragging on without any result, so I requested we deal with someone else in their office. We were handed over to Deanne who was lovely and seemed more knowledgeable to Estates. Any email we sent or they sent us cost us more money for their billing’s. My sister contacted the Superfund and found out none of that list was actually required and said Michelle had sent emails to the Superfund, however not ever finalised the withdrawal. The Superfund sent us some paperwork and we had the money in our accounts within a couple weeks. The one action Deanne did for us and we appreciated was the transfer of the estate into our names. What didn’t happen and ended up very embarrassing and disappointing was Deanne speaking with the Council. We received a debt collectors letter demanding we pay the Council rates. The debt collector said they had spoken with Argon Law, and that’s how they must have received our names. Why on earth did Deanne not contact us and let us know, and why did it go on for 6 months before letting us know that we had to pay the rates. This was the final straw for us and we withdrew our business with Argon Law and I disputed the bill to what work they had actually done - only the property transfer. Asking Deanne again, she claimed she spoke to the Council. However the Council doesn’t have any record of correspondence. Extremely unprofessional law firm that should not have a licence. I will be taking this complaint further.
