Why use a lawyer? Today was a perfect example of how a simple matter can develop into something much more technical and challenging. In this case it was a PSIO variation application before the children's court. A matter that had dragged on for 6 months. The respondent had obtained a barrister to represent them and many challenges emerged at every corner. Long story short, Ilyas from IOD Lawyers was equal to the task. The matter could have been easily struck off or adjourned a number of times.

When the IOD team was preparing for the hearing it became quite clear that they took the wellbeing of their client into consideration. Something that is not so common these days. IOD's thorough preparation and careful planning was commendable as I have dealt with lawyers previously for many years in a professional capacity.

This matter was meant to be a short process that took most of the day which ended in a favourable outcome.

Honest review.

1. Ilyas has been very lovely over the phone.

2. From a subjective opinion, I believe IOD Legal must accept a mountain of work where they just maybe can't deliver. This is in relation to Claims related to Motor Insurance. So, this is the only space I can comment on.

3. I don't know if IOD Legal has their own Personal Assistant for the Lawyers, but they NEED to get on top of responding to emails.

4. They are good at answering calls. However, actioning emails or getting back to emails can be very slow.

5. I can't say I've had a negative experience with IOD Legal from the comms. However, I much prefer the speed of LWS Lawyers or My Motor Claims (MMC). They are much more prompt and quicker in the Motor Insurance space.
